09 Feb More Awards for Lynn Jaanz
As the first place winner of UPWARD Gallery’s Fine Art ‘Movement’ competition, Lynn was invited to enter two additional competitions, ‘Monochrome’ and ‘Liminal Spaces’.
For the ‘Monochrome’ competition, Lynn’s painting titled ‘Enchanted Forest’ was a wonderful fit, with it’s range of livid blue-grey hues.

The judges agreed and award ‘Enchanted Forest’ as the Third Place winner of the ‘Monochrome’ competition.
For the ‘Liminal Spaces’ competition, the perfect choice was ‘Tunnel’. A Liminal Space is a location which is a transition between two other locations, or states of being. Liminal is from the Latin word ‘limen’, which means threshold, so a liminal space is the time between ‘what was’ and ‘what is next’.

Lynn was awarded with an Honorable Mention for ‘Tunnel’ in the ‘Liminal Spaces’ competition.
Full details of both competitions, as well as details of the other winning artwork, can be viewed online at UPWARD Gallery.
